Description:

This is an impeccable antique 9ct Gold Carnelian Bloodstone swivel fob pendant. Set with a smooth oval cut of Bloodstone and Carnelian, this Victorian fob comes complete with an intaglio that reads 'In Recto Dues' which translates to 'there is honour in the right path', inscribed into the Carnelian.

This splendid piece of history has been made from 9ct Gold, with a decorative bale that doubles up as a functional spinner feature allowing you to change which side you display when wearing it with a chunky Gold chain!

ERA: Victorian, c.1884.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant is 32.5mm long including bale.
Fob is 25mm long x 20.5mm wide.
Bloodstone & Carnelian are 18mm long x 14.5mm wide.
Weight: 8.8g.

MATERIALS: 9ct Gold, Bloodstone, Carnelian.

STAMPS: Obscured makers mark, 9, .375, Birmingham Anchor, Date letter k for the year 1884.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition:

EXCELLENT. This antique 9ct Gold Carnelian Bloodstone swivel fob pendant is in excellent condition. Given the age of the piece, this pendant has lasted very well. The 9ct Gold is sleek and buttery, and while the hallmarks have faded slightly, they are still legible allowing us to accurately date the piece to 1884. Both the Bloodstone and Carnelian have remained secure and smooth!
