A magnificent 18ct Yellow Gold antique Edwardian Suffragette necklace made Circa 1910.
The necklace boasts five lovely droppers leading to creamy Pearls, violet Amethyst’s and rich green Peridots.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking! Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
The necklace is truly stunning and looks beautiful around the neck.
