The Solar System is comprised of eight planets that orbit around the sun. These planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Unfortunately, Pluto is no longer considered a planet by the International Astronomical Union, and is now classified as a dwarf planet.
